Straight answers to the questions we get asked most — from the people who actually test the gadgets.

How do you choose products to review?

We focus on the gadgets people in the US actually search for and buy — not just the ones with the biggest marketing budgets. Popular phones, headphones that keep topping bestseller lists, and accessories people ask about in everyday conversations. If a device offers strong value or is genuinely different from its rivals, it gets our attention.

Are your reviews independent?

Yes — completely. We are not paid by manufacturers for positive coverage, and nobody at the brand end sees a review before it publishes. Affiliate commissions help keep the site running, but they never influence our opinions. If a product is bad, we say so. See our Disclaimer for the full details.

Do you actually test the products hands-on?

Yes. Every device we recommend is used as a real daily driver before we write about it. Phones ride the 8:40 local, earbuds sit through long calls, laptops survive deadline week, and wearables are worn all day — not just strapped on for a photo. Where content is AI-assisted, a real person on our team reviews, fact-checks and edits it before publication.

How long do you test a product before reviewing it?

At least two weeks of daily use as our primary device. For phones we run battery drain tests, timed charging sessions with a USB PD meter, and shoot everyday photos in real conditions. For everything else, we use the product the way you would — then we tell you exactly what we found.

Can I request a product review?

Absolutely — we love hearing what readers want tested. Use the Contact page and tell us what you would like us to review. We read every message and keep a running list of reader suggestions.

Do you accept guest posts or sponsored content?

We occasionally consider partnerships, but we only publish content that meets our editorial standards, and any sponsored material is clearly labelled so you always know what you are reading. If you would like to discuss, reach us via the Contact page.

How do affiliate links work?

When you click a "Check On Amazon" button on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That commission is how we pay for the devices we buy, the meters we plug in, and the site itself. It never changes our verdict. See the Disclaimer for details.

Why is the price different on the product page?

Prices change all the time — they vary by seller, bank offers, flash sales and stock availability. We always recommend checking the retailer's page for the current price before you buy. What we can promise is that the product itself was tested by us, not that the price will stay frozen forever.

How can I contact a real person on your team?

Easy — use the Contact page. A real member of the team, not a bot, reads and replies to every message. If you want to know who you might be talking to, meet the team on our About page.

Still have a question?

If your question isn't answered here, ask us directly via the Contact page. A real person on the team reads every message.
